Ok, after checking the magnification of both pictures the difference becomes obvious but only then. When do we need a higher resolution capability which is surely associated with larger data packages?

Some are complaining that they cannot make out the images at all. It really depends on your device.

Which symbols are you having trouble with?

I don't have the best vision and at first I could not see any difference. After a few minutes, the text in B seemed more clear. To me. I am in the minority

Don't worry, it all depends on the device that you are using. I'm really trying to make things easier for the audience. I now provide Ukrainian and Russian names of cities in the text and also include little notes for the maps. Still, some people are having trouble.

For so many reasons, I am really happy to see both the Russian and Ukrainian names side by side. Appreciate that gesture so much

Marat Khairullin,

In addition, if you could please provide a link to a source which defines the Russian military symbols (on the maps), that would greatly help understand the deployment and action. Any help greatly appreciated.

They're both of good quality, almost the same. "A" appears slightly better on my screen.

There is a very noticable difference between the two images. It becomes clearer when someone zooms-in. Starting from about 130% magnification the picture A becomes clearer. At 200% magnification there is a very important difference in favor of the first (A) picture. If on the other hand there is no zooming (100%) or there is a zoom-out the difference vanishes.

These are the results from my 32" 4K monitor. Same with my 27" HD monitor and my 5,5" HD cellphone.

I have one of those phones that folds out into a "phablet." When I'm using the "phablet" mode, I notice a bit of difference between the two images. I've had comments from people saying that they can't read the older images at all. Hopefully these higher definition maps I'm getting direct from Mikhail will make a difference!
