May I ask a question? What's happening in Toretsk? There haven't been updates in a bit, and liveuamap is showing RuAF has been pushed out of some parts of the city. I have no doubts Russians will eventually take the entire Toretsk, but have Ukrainians pushed back hard?
Toretsk is larger than Selidovo, denser, and harder to surround. Selidovo was left mostly intact as the AFU retreated, but Toretsk will be a lot like Bakhmut, I believe. But I'll pass the question onto Marat himself.
History shows that not to be the case. Why would Russia want to occupy all of this territory at such an immense cost? Stalin also lost tens of thousands of Russians just trying to hold on to the territory that it occupied after ww2.
The entire Ukraine war is an unjust criminal enterprise from the American side (I am American). NATO should have ended after the Cold War, it didn’t because it’s a government program. America never needed anything from Europe but a secure Atlantic Rim, same in Pacific.
I was responding to “unstoppable” rhetoric.
Fortunately cool heads prevail in Russia. It’s likely the maniacal Slav and Russian hating faction in DC - which also hates Americans and Europeans - wanted a nuclear war so their “enemies” could destroy each other, also they’d do anything to anyone to move up the greasy pole. Academic psychopaths-but I repeat myself- shouldn’t be given access to power, never mind policy. They were because “they’re smart” - that too being a scam. They’re not, and morally defective intelligence isn’t safer.
This has all been a scam since the 1990s.
We’re ending it now, it won’t be pretty.
We 🇺🇸 have no interests in Eurasia, and it’s time to end this madness.
…. which still doesn’t mean they’re “unstoppable.”
The Russians could have been at the Polish border by May of 2022, but wisely they saw the trap and did it the slow way.
Why do you think the SMO proceeds so slowly, warred? How far should they advance? I opine Russia needs to take all of Ukraine if only short-term to put an end to NATO expansionism there once and for all. Otherwise, this conflict will recommence once NATO rebuilds. NATO would take it all. Something appears fake about this conflict.

😉 yes.
Russia wants Russia and a neutral near abroad.
Quite justly.

Not fake. Desperate spasms from the Imperial DC, the desire to avoid nuclear war by Moscow.
I was being sarcastic, not that the title didn’t demand a response.
Anyone looking at the media or DC and thinking that’s America would be making a grave error.
Hence an answer is necessary.
