Thanks for that. I enjoy transferring your information to my own map. Where I track the course of the conflict. I wonder about Kursk. We never get much information from there. Many times southfront and suriyakmaps on TG will report on all area except Kursk. And I see today you have nothing. But I also see that fierce fighting goes on around Malaya Loknya - 60km away from Sumy.

And I wonder how can Kiev possibly get the equipment and supplies up the R200 and then the 38k-024 in sufficient quantities to maintain their garrisons up there never mind mount attacks? But they do. They mount counter attacks and are often successful. The positions up there change hands a lot. What is the problem up there that we can't interdict their convoys even with air superiority, ecm superiority, drone superiority etc. etc... It is after all a salient, too. Do you have enough information to be able to comment on it?

I'll stick with my theory until proven wrong Arthur.

Russia's EW and stuff can apparently pick up a squirrel gnawing on its nuts in the densest of forests in a square radius of 100 km. Therefore, anything or most of what gets through is what the Russian command allows. Furthermore, the Russian command are very content to obliterate this equipment and manpower which could otherwise be utilised better in one of the plethora of cauldrons near the frontline.

Note that in Kursk the area controlled, rather defended, by UAF is less than half of what they took in the first month. The song we're on the 'Road To Nowhere' (Talking Heads) resonates.

Holding it as a bargaining chip in future negotiations, as a launchpad for a frontal assault to capture Kursk nuclear power plant or to cause Putin embarrassment with sensationalist MSM headlines are now redundant.

Lastly, Mr Fab & Iskander are picking of advanced reserve groupings in the Sumy region.

Yep. What's your theory then? Probably the famous 5D chess I guess. I"m fine with whatever the truth turns out to be: 5D chess on the one hand incompetence on the other and difficulties we know not what of somewhere in the middle.

I just want to find out.

I can't. I get opinions.

Just came here because I got an email notification of a post that was a suggestion rather than an opinion. 'Watch Patrick Lancaster' is said. When I come here I find no such post.

But yep, I've watched Patrick plenty. He's a good man but unfortunately not too good at that job. To my way of thinking Sorry if I offend anyone. I'll step down. I'm not knocking Patrick, he's a good guy, but I don't get from him what I want.

I ran across another possible clue today. The Russians ('allied forces' I like to say, just to remind people about the 10 million donbas Ukrainians that are universally left out of the discussion) are using that 'theatre' as a training camp?

Well they apparently are for one unit at least, the Tula paratroopers:

https://t.me/mod_russia/48253

If I had such mastery I'd enjoy myself much more. For instance I'd squeeze the salient a little to make the range from the margins shorter for artillery. And so on.

I have seen nothing to convince me that the allies are not having a hard time of it in Kursk and I wonder why.

And I wonder about news such as this: 'pulled in new elite units'.

From where does this 'defeated' Kiev Ukrainian force get 'elite units' they can sent to Kursk?

And this news - they claim they fought 10 brigades. Ten ! That's anywhere between 10,000 and 80,000 men.

And they defeated: "180 servicemen, and a US-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicle , four armored combat vehicles , 10 vehicles, a self-propelled artillery unit, two towed howitzers, a mortar , three electronic warfare stations,"

(Russian DoD)

Not a single tank. A Bradley and four APC's that's what that adds up to. And 10 private cars, vans, whatever.

That's all that 10 brigades could bring to bear? A force that when beaten (the allies claim victory for the day) loses only Five APC's essentially?

Makes them sound laughable doesn't it?

So why isn't Russia cutting them to pieces?

It is all a mystery to me.

Thanks Arthur

My theory? I'd thought I'd spelt that out.

5D chess sometimes only appears so when pitted against pathetic imbeciles, incompetents, the EU/NATO/US Don't Think Tanks.

If Putin/Xi need to raise their game they will.

Putin/Russia are content, in fact, satisfied to make this a war of attrition, killing NATO's finest, destroying their limited arsenals, looking on while Europe begins to collapse/fragments economically, socially, politically.

I've no idea which corner of the planet you're living but here in Limey Land UK we're declining rapidly into a 3rd world economy, even worse, under a Stasi-esque police state; with pockets of no-go areas.

That Euro garden Borrell metaphorized is fading fast. Macron/France on the verge of losing their West African former colonies and access to cheap energy, primarily uranium from Niger, is crumbling. Germany also, in political turmoil, and these two supposedly the pillars of Europe.

So, it's the big picture, small battles may be lost here and there, the evolution of species delayed, however, VICTORY is close.

Yep. Regarding all that I think the major need is to wake up the people of the western world and give them a voice and have them participate in democracy as they should.
