Excellent article, thanks! One nitpick - HIMARS/M270 fire 227mm rockets in MLRS mode, making them compete with “Uragan” Soviet/Russian MLRS. HIMARS seems to be more compact though, but it delivers a salvo of only 6 missiles.
And of course, let’s not forget how “much” ammo (GMLRS) is produced for them. Brian Berletic went through contracts, and discovered that Lockheed is supposed to surge production from 13 (2022, IIRC) to 33 per day by 2025 or so. That’s total production supposed to satisfy the needs of all users of HIMARS/M270.
I don’t know how many GLSDBs are supposed to be produced, though…
Very informative Marat - once the Russian military "sets up" on the banks of the Depr, and the border of Belarus, they will be able to cover the Central Borderland and further into the Western Borderland. Would this be the Buffer Zone that Russia is talking about ? Спасибо
