Oh, another stupid action, and western curators have no plausible deniability in the matter. But will the narcissistic fools cease with provocations, of course not. And why? Because the USD ponzi is having even more frequent crises and the application of the stick minus any carrots is driving the global majority to abandon that system and rush to the alternative, BRICS+. The road to success with Russia in the driving seat is not easy, but the history and past suggest the flag will be raised just as it happened over the reichstag (and it seems the Germans want another lesson).
Marat, I would say the west is trying desperately to avert serious depression in its own populace and that is why it constantly churns out blatant bullshit 24/7 not only on the smo but pretty much everything else too.
As for the war itself, at times the winning side must make a great show of its superiority to as they say teach a lesson. Otherwise this war will forever be known as "if Nato/US/West would have been actually involved Russia would have been defeated in 3 days"...this will be the narrative in the West. Already is.
true. but if the source/root/creator of your pain is always untouched and unaffected they do not lose either. they just move onto the next project to cause more pain.
Marat, you put your finger on the main issue that differentiate the West esp. the Anglo-Saxons and the rest. Limitless self confidence rooted in ignorance and lies vs almost limitless, constant self doubt and internal questioning. One could analyze this forever, but here in the West ignorance via fake narrative, total control of information and a stable, wealthy, comfortable and safe life for generations cemented a sense of supremacy.
The hidden ground of the 21st century is the Internet. Those of us who witnessed the rapid progression of information systems from print, to radio, to television and now the internet, are best situated to understand this. We also recognize the unprecedented speed with which these changes took place, sweeping the ground of (ersatz) certainty out from under our feet.
We're now entering an era where few people recall the challenges of the pre-internet era, where, for instance, a researcher had to spend weeks at the library pouring over books in an effort to extract information. As radio and TV entered the picture we had an even harder time, since much of the content was aimed at obscuring the truth, taking advantage of the hypnotic effects of those media - the induction of alpha state to be specific - where we're unwittingly open to suggestion by the mere fact of using those media.
The advantage of the new medium, apart from its speed, is the fact that we can communicate directly with one another in forums such as this. The disadvantage is that it allows for an increased level of propaganda as well as simple misinformation from untrained participants. The same problem of filtering the signal from the noise as existed with print, radio and TV is still there, but at least now we have a stronger signal. The trick is to not get lost in the noise, which has also increased.
I thought it was six? No matter, people aren't watching them nearly as much as when that's all there was. Kids these days don't even own a PC, let alone a TV set. It's all on their smart phone now, which can connect to so many sources that the old media conglomerates simply can't keep up. For example, I follow this really smart lady from Poland, Ania K. on YT. So genuine, so sincere. What MSM media personality can compete with that? Someone like her has far more influence today than any of these forgettable faces most of us no longer watch.
I have a TV set that I use to monitor the BS from the BBC. Apart from that I only watch Wild Bear Rescue. For all other purposes the TV is dead to me. I only actually have it because it comes with my internet connection. I think there's a lot of people now who regard TV as I do. Not worth the trouble, unless you have a wife that likes to watch figure skating:)
You were stealing the show. Can't have that now can we. After 2 1/2 years one thing I've learned is you can not break the Russian spirit. May be some hand wringing going on no doubt, but those deep fakes and other propaganda just show how desperate they are.
Looks like you still butthurting about Martyanov blocking you, ha? Get over it. Ukro-troll and all sorts of jerks including Russian speaking jerks post their crap as much on Martyanov's blog as everywhere else. And I bet you deserved being blocked from such place as Andrei's blog. So stop wining & bitching and get over it.
We are dumbed down here in Canada too. Yes it is disheartening. Critical thinking is hard to come by these days. I do not go to Telegram or any social media site for the reasons you mentioned above. When I find a source that gives facts complete with sources on the ground like this substack and Simplicius I stick with them. All else are distractions and psyops to muddy the waters. Thanks for the comment. I hear you.
"Critical thinking is hard to come by these days."
I would argue that critical thinking has actually expanded in recent years, and that it is largely the effect of the new medium - the internet - which I pointed out in my previous post.
Where was critical thinking situated prior to the Internet? Mostly in academia I would say. How many people outside that realm even understood the concept, except prosaically? Now you have a multitude of voices engaged in critical thinking, as demonstrated by this, and other channels like it.
It's not all sophisticated, although some of it is, but that it's happening at all is a significant change. How else could we even discuss the idea, except for this new medium? We've never met, and we're probably at a huge distance geographically, and yet here we are. Thinking critically together. There's no way that could have happened under print or television conditions. You'd have to write a book, and I'd have to read it, or you'd have to appear on some talk show and I'd have to watch it for your thoughts to be transmitted to me, and even then, I couldn't engage and debate you directly. It was all one-way back then.
That's a monumental change in the way we communicate, and while it also provides a venue for propaganda and attempts at social control, the amount of direct communication between interested parties is orders of magnitude what it was in the past and very hard to control, given that the entire economy now depends on the internet, so shutting it down is out of the question. Even as some channels are shut down, new ones spring up like dandelions after a spring rain. That's the nature of the beast, and what has our overlords deeply concerned. They are gradually losing control of the narrative and there's little they can do other than lash out in ways that only reinforce critical thinking.
As our host pointed out, we are in fact winning, and not just on the battlefield, but in this other much larger front as well.
I think you have to distinguish between common sense and critical thinking. Common sense is a misnomer as it's anything but common. On that point I agree, and I see it constantly in my own industry. That's different from what I consider critical thinking, which is asking fundamental questions about the nature of reality and our place in it. We can argue whether that's increased or not, but like I pointed out elsewhere, the mere fact that we can do that in this medium is a huge advantage. You're old enough to remember the before time, the long long ago, correct? How could we even have this discussion back then? We'd have to be in the same class at the same university, and even then we'd be too busy with finals, our thesis, or chasing skirts to take the time. Maybe over lunch in the cafeteria, and that's about it.
Don't know about moon of alabama , but Martyanov's blog is for serious people and for those who want to learn. The majority of the people in his blog are adult professional people and behave themselves accordinly . I strongly disagree that Andrei Martyanov tolerates ukro-trolls ,let alone tolerates it " to attract views and increase number of posts" , --- this is Bullshit. Trolls do flood to his blog, of course, like they do everywhere else. Martyanov does not have moderators, he is the moderator and is a busy individual , highly educated & experienced professional in all matters of war ; he has youtube to take care of, he just finished his fourth book, he gives interviews & ect., and beside keeping himself updated on events he also has life to live . So Martyanov kicks out trolls from his blog periodically when he gets to it. And when he gets to it, Martianov kicks out idiots and those, who don't know how to debate properly, --- no offence . By the way, Andei Martyanov and Marat Khairullin are good friends.
FIY, also Scott Ritter , Larry Johnson, Ray McGovern, Russian Col.Vladimir Trukhan and few best others --- are friends , sometimes even give interviews together on different channels. These distingwishe professionals can care less about such dumb accusations as yours. Cope with it.
I dont know about that. Look at Youtube...lots of Americans like Scott Ritter, and all of Judge Napolitano guests are very credible. The Duran, and Alex and Alexander, New Atlas...lots of Youtubers with no drama. I expect the psyops and move on.
Building an accurate picture of the world is, as a friend of mine once said, like building a ship at sea. My own analogy would be a jigsaw puzzle. Some sources have the edge pieces and corners, others help you fill in the bear's nose and eventually his whole body, others give you the stream he's wading through, while others are just bits and pieces of the forest in the background. Some pieces are hard to locate, some we try to force fit, only to realize our mistake later. It's a thousand piece puzzle and not easy to complete, but we keep at it because we have no other choice.
Don't know about Alexander Mercuris. Guy has no millitary expertise what so ever but gives his opinions about battlefield ! IMHO he also talks sooooo much for sooo long ( while constantly scratching and touching his face and parts if head , and makes faces ) , --- as if he couldn't formulate his thoughts shortly & percisely. In fact , I can't stand this guy even though on a matter of politics ( not war) he has correct views. He used to be a lawyer and was disbarred though, but since he stated once " I am deeply ashemed of what I've done" I don't care much about it. Channel " Dialogue Works " of Nima Alkhorshid on u-tube is one of the best, I highly recommend it.
Well Scott is in good company...they are doing it to Trump as well. So he is doing something right. Love or hate Trump...that was all bullshit too. I feel bad for Americans bc of what is happening to your country. I like your comments but my like button is not working.
My personal opinion - The NVA with the help of the Soviet Union technically won the War but is losing millions of people and looting the South after Saigon fell - a win? Nobody - except the Bankers, MIC, and in the long run, the USG , won. All the S E Asia War Participants lost part of themselves and friends, family etc. Now I sit in old Ukraine watching hearing from a distance another war - started by the same Crime Families. I understand most of went down - Marat is helping with the down and dirty historia.

Well said Marat. It is a good, normal and healthy human thing to celebrate achievement at any and every opportunity.
Marat, I would say the west is trying desperately to avert serious depression in its own populace and that is why it constantly churns out blatant bullshit 24/7 not only on the smo but pretty much everything else too.

Spending men and resources for PR points is not how you win.

So you are! I married a Japanese farm girl. Nothing she doesn't know about rice, but her attitude towards farming is more like Leina:

Resistance is futile! You will be assimilated.
Precisely this control and ignorance that creates and cements their obedient and self confident population.

Again with your contempt and disrespect.
You sound like my mother

Most of Judge Napolitano's guests are very intelligent and credible, most but not everyone. And it's fine with me.
Building an accurate picture of the world is, as a friend of mine once said, like building a ship at sea. My own analogy would be a jigsaw puzzle. Agree, in Nam we had 50 to 100 fire fights nightly - some won, some lost. But remember who won and why ! Спасибо
