Russian special forces - The remedy for the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
Large front report July 23-29, 2024 by Marat Khairullin
The past week has shown another very interesting feature in our combat tactics, namely the dense use of sabotage and reconnaissance groups. Moreover, this has become such a widespread phenomenon that it is no longer possible not to notice it. Before our main forces begin an assault on any populated area, in addition to standard fire preparation, our DRGs are actively working behind enemy lines. This is happening along the entire front line from Volchansk to Ugledar. Wherever active hostilities are planned, saboteurs begin to work.
For example, this week, our troops quickly broke through to Konstantinovka (on the Marinka-Ugledar highway) and took a bridgehead on the outskirts. This was preceded by powerful artillery preparation. At the same time, DRGs entered behind enemy lines (near the highway) and began actively assaulting the AFU. This caused real panic!
In some cases, our saboteurs work at a depth of up to 10 kilometers, and we see this, for example, in the Slavyansk direction, where our people regularly attack the AFU at the border between Rai-Alexandrovka and Nikiforovka.
The use of special reconnaissance groups is becoming a widespread practice. There's an interesting backstory here. Starting in the summer of 2022, the AFU actively used this tactic - the near rear was literally swarming with enemy DRGs. This was a serious problem, the front was just being formed, and it was openly leaking, since ours had not yet added sufficient numbers of troops.
At the junction of the zones of responsibility of different units, gaps in the defense regularly formed, and the enemy actively took advantage of this. Now the situation, we see, has swung in the opposite direction. This means that the enemy is in serious trouble.
To make it clear, the entire more than thousand-kilometer front line is a very serious fortification structure. Rows of barbed wire, continuous minefields, trenches, strongholds - both on their side and on ours. And if we switched to the tactics of actively using DRGs, this clearly shows that gaps have formed in these continuous lines of enemy defense. There were no longer enough forces to contain the entire front.
And, among other things, there is one more interesting detail (I say this from personal observations). In the summer of 2023, in addition to the formation of special Storm units, each brigade began to form its own elite units. This was, as I understand it, a special program - the best fighters of suitable age were collected into a special detachment, subordinate directly to the brigade commander. They were trained according to a special program by special GRU instructors.
I still thought then that it was such a fashion for brigade commanders to start their own special forces units, but today, it becomes clear why this whole strategy was needed.
The army is primarily about long-term planning. That is, when preparations were underway for the future big offensive last summer, our strategists even thought through such a thing in advance - the mass training of special forces. So that when the time comes, put them into action. Our guys are now increasing pressure on the enemy by all possible means, and we see the results along the entire front line.
In the Liptsevsky section of the Kharkov direction, last week, units of the North group completely regained control over the village of Glubokoe. There are high intensity battles in the area. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue attacks from the Travyansky Reservoir. As before, freshly mobilized and former prisoners are thrown into battle first, preserving more experienced fighters.
The enemy is withdrawing the battered units near the settlement of Glubokoe from the area for replenishment. Thus, in some battalions of the 92nd infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, losses reach half of the personnel. New mobilized people have arrived in this brigade, but, most likely, they will soon need replenishment again, since in addition to the fact that various “gifts” arrive at their deployment points, they have a big problem with Western equipment, which was transferred to them from storage bases without conducting maintenance. As a result, it turned out to be inadequate. Accordingly, Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers are sent into meat assaults using faulty equipment with no chance of survival, which creates panic in their ranks and demoralizes them.
Our aviation is actively working against enemy units. Over the course of a week, FAB -3000 strikes were carried out on the control point in the village of Slobozhanskoye, FAB - 3000 and 1500 on the road control point in Liptsy, and similar strikes on the command post in the village of Veseloye. FAB-1500 worked in the settlements of Velikiye and Malye Prohody and ODAB-1500 in the area of the settlement of Borshchevaya. Aviation also worked in the area of restoration of combat capability of the 92nd Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of the settlement of Tsyrkuny.
In the Volchansky sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces became more active in the area of the village of Staritsa to seize it. Soldiers of the "North" group of the Russian Armed Forces discover the assault groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and destroy them, preventing them from carrying out their plans. In Volchansk itself, there is active fighting in the area of high-rise buildings, where our units have advanced both into them and in the residential sector nearby.
The enemy, after a short break for reorganization, again began to attempt to transfer reinforcements across the river. Our soldiers disrupt most of these operations. The Ukrops are trying to accumulate forces to move to the area of high-rise buildings on the territory of an abandoned textile factory (former brewery).
Most of the reinforcements transferred from the southern part of the city are destroyed when crossing the river, and for those who did reach the factory territory, FABs of various capacities arrive.
Our aviation worked with FABs on the hangars with Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment in the village of Volchanskie Khutora, and an ammunition warehouse was also destroyed here.
Along the entire direction, our units identify and destroy equipment, guns, and control posts for UAV operators of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the Kupyansk direction, our Aerospace Forces are striking at Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the area of the settlements of Glushkovka and Kruglyakovka. Our reconnaissance and sabotage groups were spotted in the area of these settlements, but while our units have expanded control in that direction from the village of Peschanoye, there is no active advance, so as not to stretch out, creating a threat of attack from the enemy for our flanks. However, we can assume that the Zaoskol group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has already been cut off, since the area is under our fire control.
In the area of Peschanoye, our armed forces took a large stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces north of the settlement, significantly expanding control in that direction.
In the area of the village of Stelmakhovka, the offensive actions of our army intensified, and our aviation was active, striking the enemy west of the settlement of Novoselovskoe.
In the Seversky direction, assault detachments of our paratroopers entered the village of Pereezdnoye, breaking through a network of enemy strongholds located in front of it, and entrenched themselves on the southern outskirts of the village.
Interesting news also came from the area of the Zaliznyanskoye settlement, where, according to some reports, the Russian Armed Forces broke through the defenses and advanced towards the Bondarnoye settlement. If ours manage to reach it and cut off the Nikiforovka-Vasyukovka road, then the Ukrainian Armed Forces units in Vasyukovka itself and south of it, as well as in the village of Pazeno, will be under threat, which will give us the opportunity to go to the rear of the Seversk grouping of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Our airborne forces are working in the entire direction, destroying enemy warehouses and air defense systems. In the section from Ivano-Daryevka to Verkhnekamensky, FAB attacks knock out the enemy in forest belts.
In Kramatorsk, a strike was carried out on the weapons depot of the 56th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the industrial zone of the city. The destruction of Grad and HIMARS installations and armored vehicles is reported. As are the losses among the “foreign specialists” who were there.
In Chasov Yar, the Russian Armed Forces went beyond the canal in several places and are establishing a foothold in the Oktyabrsky and Novy microdistricts. Our units also attack the enemy on the flanks, on the north from the Kalinovka area in the direction of the village of Grigorovka, and on the south from the area of the village of Krasnoe in the direction of the area of the village of Kleshcheevka.
In the Toretsky section of the Donetsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlement of Leninskoe (Pivdenny/Yuzhnoe) and significantly advanced in the settlement of Artemovo (Zaliznoye) as well as Kirovo (Pivnichnoe).
(1)The forest area located in the east of the settlement came under the control of our armed forces. Our fighters cleared the line of strong points in front of them and completely drove the enemy out of the main part of the forest, with the exception of its northern part, which runs in a narrow strip along the residential sector. (2)Our fighters drove the AFU out of Sotsgorodok, as well as the streets adjacent to it, along with the garage cooperative. (3)They also completely liberated the area of high-rise buildings and the area of the Palace of Culture, going out onto Lenin (Central) Street and crossing it.
In Artemovo, most of the settlement is also under the control of our units. Here we moved southwest to Suvorov Street on the left flank (4), knocked out the enemy from the area adjacent to the market (5), and reached Pioneer Avenue in the area of Druzhby Street on the right flank, clearing the high-rise buildings (6).
Thus, now we have already approached the Toretsk Mining Vocational Lyceum (7), which is the main stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, connecting the waste heaps of the mines named after Artema and Severnaya, which in turn are the most important fortified areas in the defense line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Fighting is already going on along the entire Pioneer Avenue, and our units have practically reached the waste heaps in both Artemovo and Kirovo.
In the settlement of Novgorodskoye (New York), battles are taking place in the center of the village, where the fighters of our units went beyond the Kazenny Torets River and the Zheleznaya Beam. Our Aerospace Forces flatten the positions of the AFU in the area of the phenol plant (in importance this enterprise is like the AKHZ in Avdeevka, only smaller in size). In the area of the southern part of the village, units of our army confidently push back the enemy, moving towards the villages of Rozovka (Alexandropol) and Panteleimonovka, which form a single fortified area of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the Pokrovsky sector of the Donetsk direction, our armed forces are developing an offensive in several directions.
Over the past week, several settlements were liberated at once, as stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense, after their final clearing of the enemy.
After liberating the village of Lozovatskoye and taking control of the territory to the south of it, our units reached the village of Timofeevka, and, most likely, in the very near future, the enemy will be driven out from there too.
Our armed forces also advanced to the village of Lisichnoe, going beyond the road leading to the Pokrovsk-Konstantinovka highway, and further south we advanced down this road all the way to Progress.
The liberation of Progress was officially announced after the clearing of the outpost to the north near the railway, and while we were clearing out the enemy there, our fighters entered the village of Volchye, which they took in a few days, and forced the enemy to withdraw their units from the left bank so as not to be surrounded.
As a result of the successful actions of the Russian Armed Forces, the settlements of both Volchye and Evgenovka were now completely liberated, freeing up our fighters who then approached the village of Ivanovka, took about half of the village of Veseole, and advanced to the village of Zhelannoe.
The village of Novoselovka Pervaya has been practically liberated. Between it and Zhelannoe, there is a large stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, covering the exit to the right bank of the Volchya River. And, most likely, this strong point will be cleared from the Zhelanny side, having previously cut it off from supplies so as not to break through the river into a bottleneck. However, there is a high probability that a further offensive will be carried out in the near future with the goal of entering the area of the Karlovsky reservoir and cutting it off, followed by clearing settlements on the right bank. Only then will ours go to Selidovo and other large settlements.
In Krasnogorovka, the liberation of the main part of the city is almost complete. The remaining enemy retreated across the Lozovaya River to the northern streets and into the suburbs to the west to the former state farm named after Lenin, where they are hastily trying to strengthen their positions.
Fighting is still going on on the western outskirts in the area of Lysenko (Engels) Street. Against the backdrop of our successes in Krasnogorovka, reports appeared that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were withdrawing their units from the settlement of Nevelskoye, in the area of which we had practically flattened the ledge occupied by the enemy.
In the South Donetsk direction, last week, our armed forces began the liberation of the village of Konstantinovka. After a massive artillery barrage that began at night, our soldiers entered the south-eastern part of the settlement and gained a foothold there. The command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which hastily evacuated its command post from Konstantinovka, tried to bring reinforcements into the village, but ours kept all entrances under fire control.
Fierce counter-fighting is taking place in the populated area, with both sides actively using drones, and our Aerospace Forces are processing enemy positions with KABs.
Between Paraskovievka and the village of Pobeda, the fighters of our units knocked out the enemy from positions in the fields and closed the ledge on which the Ukrainian Armed Forces units were still holding.
We expanded our control in the fields south of Konstantinovka, gaining the opportunity to put pressure on it not only from the southeast, but also from the south.
Also, the Russian Armed Forces continue to move towards the Konstantinovka-Ugledar highway, having advanced towards it in the area of the village of Vodyanoye and in the area of the Solenenkaya gully, knocking out the enemy from a number of strong points.
Thanks for the detailed reports. It is clearly obvious by now that the long game pays off. The so called "Death by thousand cuts" tactic works perfectly, draining the ruthless enemy of the most precious resource, the manpower and, minimizing the Russian losses at the very same time. The Ukrainian losses announced by the Russian MoD have exceeded 60 thousand just for July. This is a very conservative number and the real losses are certainly much higher. This is also a strong indication that the inability to replace the losses will lead to the sudden collapse of the over-thousand km-long Ukrainian frontline. Sooner than later it seems.
In Ukrainia, it feels like their will be a collapse of the state already. Dima reports more press gang vans having small fires to destroy their engines, apparently, but they can use the van for a homeless shelter in Little Russia, which former Ukraine may eventually be called...
In U S of Arrogance, we see a collapse of the state. Funny and ironic that, as Alex Christoforou suggested, Biden has become pretensodent of....Ukraine, where there is no president and soon no rada parliament after 8-11, we're told, they too lose legitimacy. Who will sign the unconditional surrender or sue Russia for peace?
Unlike Ukraine, or not?, our acting president loves to put people in jail, use their slave labour, and pretend she is a black woman , and that she can act as president. Maybe after ScKamala kamaltoe takes some acting lessons from elenskies she can then play the piana with her kamaltoe....
