Brief report from the front, August 27, 2024

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing to defend the Pokrovsk,
Kupyansk, and Donetsk directions.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Armed Forces advanced southwest of the settlement of Peschanoye.

The Russian Aerospace Forces carried out strikes on enemy positions in the Kupyansk-Kovsharovka area.

In the Pokrovsk sector of the Donetsk direction, the enemy's defense is collapsing before our eyes. Yesterday, for the first time in Ukraine, they announced an emergency in Pokrovsk. Evacuation was announced in Selidovo to the western settlements (evacuation was also announced in the settlement of Konstantinovka and the Konstantinovsky district - a total of 27 settlements are on the list). Our Aerospace Forces carried out a KAB strike on the enemy's air defense system on the territory of the machine-building plant in Pokrovsk itself. A strike was also carried out on Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities in the settlement of Novoekonomicheskoe.

The Russian Armed Forces are advancing toward the headquarters on the Kazennyi Torets River near the settlement of Mirolyubovka, encircling the settlement of Grodovka from the north. In Grodovka itself, our soldiers have advanced to Shevchenko Street. To the west of this settlement, assault detachments of our army entered the settlement of Nikolaevka - the last settlement here before Mirnograd (Dimitrov).

Between the village of Orlovka (today the Ministry of Defense announced, by the way, its liberation) and Novogrodovka the control zone has been expanded - our soldiers are driving the enemy out of the forest belts.

In the settlement of Novogrodovka, the central part is under the control of our units; the fighting has shifted to the western outskirts of the settlement and to its northern part.

(Zin Note: Some are declaring the liberation of Novogrodovka, but we will wait for further proof.)

In the area of ​​the settlement of Selidovo, the Russian Armed Forces advanced south of the settlement of Marinovka and consolidated their positions in the northern part of the settlement of Mikhailovka. Most importantly, they captured the spoil heap of the Rossiya (Kotlyarevskaya) mine. This is the dominant height in front of Selidovo, the distance to which is about 2 km and which is now visible as if on the palm of our hand.

The situation is also sad for the Ukrainian Armed Forces units located to the east. The settlement of Kalinovo came under the control of our military, who, in fact, "on the shoulder" of the retreating enemy, crossed the M 30 (E 50) highway and entered the settlement of Memrik.

In the settlement of Karlovka, our soldiers are storming its western part. According to some reports, the enemy was driven out of a strong point on the shore of the reservoir north of Karlovka. A large number of Ukrainian soldiers from the 59th and 68th brigades were captured.

For the second night in a row, massive strikes were carried out on military infrastructure and energy facilities throughout Ukraine. In Krivoy Rog, a strike was carried out on the Aurora Hotel, where "foreign specialists" were based. Literally a day earlier, an Iskander strike was also carried out on the location of foreigners in the Sapphire Hotel in Kramatorsk.
